Welcome to the Cal State East Bay Taekwondo Program

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that emphasizes fast, dynamic kicks - often at or above the kicker's head height. It is an Olympic sport, a method of self-defense, and a beautiful art form.

The CSUEB (then Cal State Hayward) Taekwondo Program was founded in the 1970 and has since promoted more than 100 students to the rank of First Dan. We practice Olympic style Taekwondo with roots in traditional Taekwondo and are members of the National Collegiate TKD Association (NCTA), USA Taekwondo (USAT), and the Pac West Taekwondo Conference.
